As a FTM, I’ve struggled so much with these feelings and have felt so incredibly alone with them at times. My whole goal with Motherhood Unhitched is to show all of it, even the not so great moments, so other moms can see they aren’t the only one. I didn’t even mean to record this. I was just trying to film myself cooking dinner. I decided to share it because maybe another mom needs to know she’s not insane for freaking out over something as simple as cooking dinner. But truth is… it’s usually not about dinner. The little things add up. We haven’t been able to leave the camper all week because our truck is down. We’re still trying to get back into a routine after traveling for the 4th. He is transitioning from two naps to one. By the end of the week, all that stress has a way of spilling over into something that seems so small. It happens. It doesn’t mean you’re failing. It doesn’t make you a bad mom. It makes you a human who is raising another human. If this helps even one mom feel a little less alone, then it was worth it to share. |
