💪🏼”. 投稿 @ari.kissick: “The hardest thing about pregnancy is to keep showing up for yourself every day even when it feels like it’s doing nothing at all.. but I promise you it is all worth it! Inspo @chelsea thomas 🫶🏼”. クリエイター @pacificpelvichealth: “Weight lifting through pregnancy has been an eye opening experience to all the stressors that the pregnant body takes on and every month is so different than the last. I knew going into this season of life that keeping up strength training would make a huge difference for my mental health, help me manage pain, prevent pelvic floor issues, and stave off other health concerns. I don’t go.
About my weight lifting as an all or nothing approach during this time and have had to modify A LOT with every season. Whether that’s depth, exercise type, RPE scale, bracing my core, or my stance with movements. I don’t have any risks for weight lifting during pregnancy. I have not had any bleeding or other health concerns that would lead myself or my providers to feel it’s time to change my exercise routine. My partner and others have been concerned with how much I lift and I appeased for 1 week and took time off lifting…I then was left with debilitating SI joint and back pain at the end.
Of my long work day as a physical therapist…only to get back to lifting and feel a ton better. I will never tell someone they should or shouldn’t do something in pregnancy, I just want people to find movement they love, that maintains their overall health and fitness, and makes them feel like the bad ass that they are…that’s lifting for me! What’s been that for you?”. ユーザー @kamie.p: “The hardest thing about pregnancy is to keep showing up for yourself even if you feel like doing nothing all day… Before pregnancy, I used to tell myself, “When I’m pregnant, I’m going to keep working out every day” Then you.
Get pregnant… and you’re nauseous, exhausted in a way you’ve never experienced before, and some days just getting out of bed feels like a workout When you do make it to the gym, your body doesn’t respond the way it used to, and that can be frustrating. But I’m learning that this season isn’t about chasing progress, it’s about showing up, taking care of myself, and growing a healthy little baby boy At the end of the day, I know it will all be worth it ❤️ @DFYNE”. 投稿者 @theshealyfam: “I wish someone had warned me about this part of working out while pregnant.”. 投稿 @julissab.fit: “Pregnancy has been the.
Hardest thing I’ve ever done. Mentally it challenged me in ways I never expected. As someone whose career revolves around fitness it was hard watching my body change & feeling like even though I was working out consistently I wasn’t making the kind of progress I was used to seeing. I realized my body wasn’t meant to make that kind of progress right now. It was making something far more beautiful. Working out is hard. Working out while growing a human is a whole different level of hard & it gave me a whole new respect for every momma out there. This journey hasn’t always been easy but I wouldn’t.
Change it for anything because in the end I get to hold my beautiful baby girl I grew myself. & that’s truly the greatest accomplishment my body has ever made🩷”. 投稿 @skyb_fitt: “Moral of the story, keep showing up. 💓”. クリエイター @tinashuli: “@Kalo using the app for tracking my macros and my protein has been very helpful @DFYNE fits code Tina Bouncing back after pregnancy is different for everyone, so we should never compare. What helped me the most was staying active for many years, training through my whole pregnancy, and keeping my nutrition high in protein and nutrients. I still enjoyed my cravings but kept balance. I also focused.
A lot on core and cardio, which helped my recovery. Genetics matter, but lifestyle matters more. This is just my experience and every journey is different.”. 投稿者 @movelikeamotha: “Where my mamas who stay lifting!?! Or maybe you’re expecting and wanting to continue strength training but concerned about the safety? Or maybe you feel clouded by the judgment given by those around you, cause it might make them “uncomfortable” to see you train? Here’s some research that may make you feel more comfortable!⬇️ In a study done in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, they took a group of pregnant women and a group of non-pregnant women and had them perform.
Barbell back squat, bench press, and deadlift - all at 70% 80% and 90% max effort.⬇️ They monitored maternal heart rate and blood flow as well as the baby’s heart rate and umbilical cord blood flow… What they found 👏 ✅ Maternal heart rate was increased (to be expected) but stayed within safe/normal ranges. ✅Fetal heart rate and umbilical blood flow remained normal in heavy lifts even those where valsalva maneuver was used! ✅No bradycardia (slower than expected HR) or adverse effects were found in the babies. Looooky there! Both mama and babies tolerated the heavy lifting well! In fact other studies have also shown that exercise can even improve/increase.
Blood flow to the baby💯🙌 Conclusion: strength + resistance training (performed safely) can be not only safe but also beneficial for mama AND baby! Share with other mamas who want/need this info!!
